Overview

Chronic bacterial prostatitis is a bacterial infection of the prostate gland. Chronic bacterial prostatitis is swelling and irritation (inflammation) of the prostate gland that develops slowly and continues for a long period of time. It is a chronic infection of the prostate gland.
