Ethamsylate (dicynene) is a homeostatic drug that is believed to work by increasing capillary endothelial resistance and promoting platelet adhesion. It also inhibits biosynthesis and action of those prostaglandins which cause platelet disaggregation, vasodilation and increased capillary permeability.
