Overview
As the malfunction of Proximal renal tubules leads to extensive loss of various solutes, the symptoms of the disease, mostly relate to metabolic issues due to the lack of sufficient ingredients in the body.
History and Symptoms
Are the clinical features of proximal renal tubular acidosis:
- Polyuria, polydipsia and dehydration
- Rickets (in children) and osteomalacia (in adults)
- Growth failure
- Acidosis
- Hypokalemia
