Volvulus of gallbladder is known to be caused due to:[1]

    • Floating gallbladder
  • Acquired causes
    • Splanchnoptosis
    • Senile humpback
  • Physical causes
    • Sudden changes of intraperitoneal pressure
    • Sudden changes of body position
    • Hyperperistalsis of organs near the gallbladder
    • Trauma to the abdomen
