Overview
Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of hemophilia include normal prothrombin time (PT), prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), prolonged bleeding time (BT), and normal platelet count.

- Normal prothrombin time (PT)[1][2][3][4]
- Normal platelet count[5]
- Reduced red blood cell (RBC) count and hemoglobin level[6][7]
- Prolonged bleeding time (BT)[8][9]
- Elevated activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT)[1][2][5][10][11][4]
- Bethesda assay indicating the presence of antibodies against factor VIII[12][13]
- Normal fibrinogen level[4][5]
