• Anticoagulation medication
• Decreased platelet count
• Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC)
• Embolic strokes
• Hemophilia
• Hypertension
• Sickle Cell Anemia

Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

• Alcoholism
• Hypertension
• Smoking

Subdural Hemorrhage

• Alcoholism
• Anticoagulant medication
• Any disorder that results in falling
• Chronic use of aspirin
• Head injury
• Very young or advanced age
