Micropolyspora is a now defunct genus of bacteria from family Nocardiaceae. Members of this genus were transferred to new genera in families Nocardiaceae, Streptosporangiaceae and Pseudonocardiaceae. These changes effectively ended the official status of this genus, but the name persists in older research articles, and is occasionally used in contemporary settings.
Family Nocardiaceae
Family Streptosporangiaceae
- Micropolyspora angiospora became Microtetraspora angiospora, which became Nonomuraea angiospora.
Family Pseudonocardiaceae
- Micropolyspora faeni became Micropolyspora rectivirgula, which became Faenia rectivirgula, which became Saccharopolyspora rectivirgula.
- Micropolyspora internatus became Saccharomonospora internatus, but this change has not yet been officially accepted.
