  • It is better to evaluate all suspected cases or known cases of sexually transmitted diseases for molluscum contagiosum infection as well.
  • Patients should be advised to avoid touching skin lesions.
  • Covering the skin lesions with a bandage or gauze prevents transmission of the infection to others.
