An ovotestis is a gonad with both testicular and ovarian aspects.[1] In humans, ovotestes are an anatomical abnormality associated with gonadal dysgenesis.[2]
Ovotestes can be found as normal anatomical features in some animals such as the gastropod Helix aspersa. [3]
