- Avoidance of triggers such as caffeine intake, alcohol abuse.
- Cessation of substance abuse (cocaine, amphetamines, alcohol, MDMA)
- However, individuals who are involved in certain occupations (eg pilots, commercial truck drivers) and have a history of palpitations would require specialist referral and should discontinue such activities until clearance is obtained. [2]
