Overview
Polycythemia may be present if the child has any other congenital heart disease. Hypoxemia or hypercarbia may be present.

- There are no diagnostic laboratory findings associated with Patent ductus arteriosus.
- A complete blood cell count (CBC) could be helpful in determining the overall health of the infant.
- Polycythemia: If the patient has other congenital heart defects polycythemia can be positive in those patients.
