Overview
Most patients with premature atrial contraction are asymptomatic. Rarely they present with palpitation and complications.
History and Symptoms
- Premature atrial contraction (PACs) is the most common form of supraventricular arrhythmia. Most patients are asymptomatic.
- Premature atrial contraction is rarely associated with severe symptoms and palpitation is the only complaint in most of the cases.
- Rarely patients may present with exercise intolerance and fatigue due to bradycardia caused by blocked PACs.
