Preferred Regimen
|
▸ Adult:Amoxicillin 2 gm as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
|
▸ Pediatrics:Amoxicillin 50 mg/kg as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
|
Unable to take Oral Medication
|
Preferred Regimen'
|
▸ Adult: Ampicillin 2 g IM or IV as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
|
▸ Pediatrics: Ampicillin 50 mg/kg as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
|
Alternative Regimen
|
▸ Adult: Cefazolin or Ceftriaxone 1 g IM or IV as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
|
▸ Pedicatrics:Cefazolin or Ceftriaxone 50 mg/kg IM or IV as a single dose 30-60 min before procedure
