Ultrasound can be abnormal in sinusoidal obstruction syndrome but it is not diagnostic.[1][2]
- Findings on an ultrasound suggestive of sinusoidal obstruction syndrome include :
- Hepatomegaly
- Splenomegaly
- Heterogeneous echotexture
- Presence of ascites
- Abnormal portal vein waveform
- Thickening of the gallbladder wall
