- Biopsy may be helpful in the diagnosis of uveal melanoma.[1]
- Most of the times we can diagnose uveal melanoma with physical examination and imaging.
- Other than confirming the diagnosis, biopsy is used for genetic sampling.
- Uveal melanoma biopsy is not generally recommended because of the risk of tumor spreading outside the eye.
