- Hemodynamic instability is defined as:
- Altered mental status
- Cold extremities
- Cyanosis
- Oliguria (urine output <0.5 mL/kg/h)
- Sustained hypotension (≥30 min)
Action Items
- Maintain patent airway; assist breathing as needed.
- Maintain IV/IO access.
- Administer oxygen if hypoxemic.
- Monitor blood pressure, oximetry and attach ECG monitor/defibrillator.
