Overview
The physician will examine the back and conduct neurologic tests to determine the cause of pain and appropriate treatment.
Physical Examination
Physical examination should include examination of the cervical spine ( palpation for tenderness, muscle bulk, range of motion.
Musculoskeletal and neurological examination of the upper limb should also be performed. The patient’s gait should be observed.
