Properties
Cefrom is a cephalosporln antibiotic for parenteral use. As a beta-lactam antibiotic, it acts by preventing cell wall synthests in bacteria. Cefrom is effective against numerous significant Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including both aerobes and anaerobes. It Is stable against the action of beta-lactamases.
Cefrom is rapidly and widely distributed in body fluids and achieves excellent tissue penetration, reaching concentrations which exceed the minimum inhibitory concentrations for most pathogens.
In vitro studtcs on combinations of CEFROM and Aminoglycoslde antibiotics showed synergistic effects.[1]
