Definitions
- Tachycardia is defined as a heart rate of greater than 100 beats/min.
- Wide QRS if 3 or more QRS>0,12 s
Action Items
- Maintain patent airway
- Maintain i.v. access
- Assist breathing as needed
- Administer oxygen if hypoxemic
- Monitor blood pressure, oximetry and attach ECG monitor/defibrillator
