Gender
Males are more commonly affected with oral cancer than females.
Age
The prevalence of oral cancer increases with age. The average age at diagnosis for oral cancer is 62, and two-thirds of individuals with this disease are over age 55.
Race
Oral cancer usually affects individuals of the African American race.
