On abdominal CT scan, pseudomyxoma peritonei is characterized by:[1]
- Low attenuation, often loculated fluid thoughout the peritoneum, omentum and mesentery
- Scalloping of visceral surfaces, particularly the liver
- Scattered (curvilinear or punctate) calcifications may be frequently present
- Tends to remain localised to peritoneal cavity
