CT scan may be diagnostic of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. Findings on CT scan suggestive of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor is a rapid growth mass with irrefular border.[1]

- CT scan may be diagnostic of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.[2]
- Imaging criteria are generally considered unreliable in differentiating from a more benign neurofibroma or schwannoma.[3]
- Findings on CT scan include:
- The larger the lesion, the more likely for it to be malignant
- Irregular borders
- Rapid growth on interval imaging
