Overview
On abdominal CT scan, pseudomyxoma peritonei is characterized by a low attenuation, often loculated fluid throughout the peritoneum, omentum and mesentery with scalloping of visceral surfaces, particularly the liver.[1]

On abdominal CT scan, pseudomyxoma peritonei is characterized by:[2]
- Low attenuation, often loculated fluid throughout the peritoneum, omentum and mesentery
- Scalloping of visceral surfaces, particularly the liver
- Scattered (curvilinear or punctate) calcifications may be frequently present
- It tends to remain localised to the peritoneal cavity
