Overview
There are no diagnostic laboratory findings associated with hamartoma. However, in some cases complete blood count, serum electrolytes, urea, and alkaline phosphatase levels may be indicated if the tumor becomes symptomatic.[1]
Laboratory tests
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Serum electrolytes (calcium, phosphate, and potassium)
- Urea
- Liver function tests
- CD8 (key feature that differentiates splenic hamartoma from other vascular lesions of the spleen)
