Complications
Complications that can develop as a result of infectious cervicitis are:[1][2][3][4][5][6]
- pelvic inflammatory disease
- infertility,
- chronic pelvic pain,
- ectopic pregnancy.
- spontaneous abortion,
- premature rupture of membranes,
- preterm delivery
