Overview
MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of colon polyps. Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) and MRI colonography are used to detect polyps.
MRI
- MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of colon polyps.
- Different MRI modalities might be used including:
- Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI): It might detect polyps greater than 5 millimeters in diameter.[1]
- MRI colonography: It might detect polyps greater than 10 millimeters in diameter.[2]
