There is no established system for the classification of Epidural hematoma.
Classification
Epidural hematoma may be classified to into three groups:
- Traumatic epidural hematoma which is the main cause of epidural hematoma and may be divided to two subtypes:
- Traumatic acute epidural hematoma
- Traumatic delayed epidural hematoma
- Spontaneous spinal epidural hematomas
- Postoperative epidural spinal hematoma
