On abdominal CT scan, pseudomyxoma peritonei is characterized by:[1][2]
- Low attenuation, loculated fluid in the peritoneum, omentum, and mesentery.
- Scalloping of visceral surfaces, particularly the liver.
- Large cystic tubular structure may be present, showing appendical mucocele.
- It tends to remain localized to the peritoneal cavity.
