Overview
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has the capability to accurately assess global and regional left and right ventricular function, detect and localize myocardial ischemia and infarction, and determine myocardial viability. To rule out aortic dissection, a chest CT scan with contrast, MRI or transesophageal echocardiography may be done.
