Overview
Apart from laboratory work up investigations like echocardiography and ultrasound may be helpful in finding cause of FUO provided the diagnostic clues are present which makes these investigation essential.[1]
Echocardiography/Ultrasound
- Echocardiography should be performed when suspecting endocarditis. echocardiography in this case shows growths on heart valve leaflets.[2]
- Hepatobiliary pathology may be detected by abdominal ultrasonography.
