Overview
Acute right lower quadrant abdominal pain arises from the distal gastrointestinal tract and is accompanied by other symptoms like diarrhea, hematochezia and tenesmus. But pain from above abdominal and below pelvic structures may also radiate towards this quadrant. In females the pain arises from the adnexa of uterus besides coming from the intestinal tract.
