FDG PET
FDG (Fludeoxyglucose) PET is a useful image study that allows differentiation between a thymoma and thymic carcinoma. The standarized uptake value (SUV) in the FDG PET is much higher for the thymic carcinoma, with a high sensitivity (84.6%) and specificity (92.3%)[1]
