- CT scan may be diagnostic of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.[2]
- Imaging criteria are generally considered unreliable in differentiating from a more benign neurofibroma or schwannoma.[3]
- The larger the lesion, the more chance of it being malignant.
- Findings on CT scan include:
- Irregular borders
- Rapid growth on interval imaging
