Chest X-Ray

A chest X-ray is the first step for the diagnose and is normally an incidental finding.

Some thymic carcinomas may be associated with pleural effusion that could also be seen in the chest x-ray.

AP CXR that shows a radioopaque mass in the left anterior and middle mediastinum. Left pleural effusion and high-riding diaphragm suggesting phrenic nerve palsy
