Overview
Symptoms of Paget's disease of the breast include itching or redness in the nipple
History and symptoms
- Symptoms usually occur in one breast.
- Some patients have two or more symptoms at presentation, although often they are asymptomatic, and, occasionally, a palpable mass is detectable.[1]
- Symptoms may include the following:[2]
- Itching, tingling, or redness in the nipple and/or areola
- Flaking, crusty, or thickened skin on or around the nipple
- Erosion or ulceration of the nipple
- A flattened nipple
- Discharge from the nipple that may be yellowish or bloody
