Overview
Epidemiology
It was estimated that LV aneurysm develops in 30%-35% of patients with Q wave MI. But it has been decreased significantly due to introduction of improvements in the management of patients with acute MI.[1] Currently it is estimated that true left ventricular aneurysms develop in less than 5% of all patients with STEMI.[2]
