Overview
Ultrasound can be used to detect motion of adult worms on lymph vessles.

Ultrasound can be used to detect the presence of adult worms in lymphatic vessels. Living worms tend to be in motion which called "filarial dance" sign. Some studies used US to follow up effectiveness of treatment. In some cases, worms can be visualized in the breast lymphatics.
