Overview
MRI
MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of tuberculous pericarditis. Findings on MRI suggestive of tuberculous pericarditis include:
- Pericardial effusion
- Pericardial thickening
- Mediastinal and tracheobronchial lymphadenopathy (with hilar sparing)
- Bowing of the interventricular septum toward the left ventricle during diastole
