- Psychogenic following an emotionally traumatic incident.
- Head Trauma can cause post traumatic amnesia.
- Neurological disorder: Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease
- Prolonged trauma or childhood sexual abuse can cause dissociative fugue.
