Overview
There are no different CT scan findings than the chest x-ray associated with Caplan Syndrome.
CT scan
A Chest CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of Caplan Syndrome. Findings on CT scan suggestive of/diagnostic of Caplan Syndrome include:
- 0.5-2 cm lung nodules
- Cavitation and calcification in nodules can be identified
- No distinguishable features from tuberculoma or ordinary silicotic nodule.[1]
