Overview

Eczema can lead to viral, bacterial and fungal infections. Psychological problems could also arise brought about by constant itching.

Bacterial Infections Staphylococcus aureus[1][2] and Methicillin-resistant S. aureus colonization. [3] [4] [5]
Viral Infections Eczema herpeticum [6], herpes simplex virus [7], and Molluscum contagiosum [8].
Fungal Infections Tinea [7]
Psychological Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and speech disorders. [9] [10]
