Overview

Cardiomegaly or pulmonary edema secondary to heart failure may be noted on chest x-ray among patients with rheumatic heart disease.

Chest X Ray

Chest radiograph of patients with rheumatic heart disease (RHD) may reveal cardiomegaly secondary to carditis and valve abnormalities. Pulmonary edema may be noted if RHD has progressed to cardiac failure
