Overview
A malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) or malignant neurolemmoma is a form of cancer of the connective tissue surrounding nerves. Given its origin and behavior it is classified as a sarcoma. About half the cases are diagonosed in people with neurofibromatosis.
