Risk Factors
People of all age group including children can have hematuria. Certain factors increases the chance of hematuria:
- Recent infection: Postinfectious Glomerulonephritis
- Exercise: Long distance runners are prone to exercise induced urinary bleeding.
- Age: Male older than 50 years have enlarged prostate than can cause Hematuria
- Sex: 50% of all women suffer from urinary tract infection at least once in there life time, which can also cause urinary bleeding.
