Sleep Apnea Laboratory findings

• Laboratory tests are not used in the diagnosis of sleep apnea
• The following lab abnormalities may be occasionally found:

• Blood tests may show anemia or polycythemia
• Urine analysis may show proteinuria
• Arterial blood gas analysis (ABG) may show Hypercapnia
• Thyroid unction tests may show hypothyroidism
