Overview
There are no diagnostic laboratory findings associated with hamartoma. However, in some cases complete blood count, serum electrolytes, urea, and alkaline phosphatase levels may be indicated if the tumor becomes symptomatic.[1]
Laboratory tests
The following laboratory findings may be indicated among patients with hamartoma:[2][3]
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Serum electrolytes
- Key feature that differentiates splenic hamartoma from other vascular lesions of the spleen.
