Overview
There is no treatment for FMD; the mainstay of therapy is management of manifestations of this condition.
For example: Pharmacologic medical therapies for treatment of renovascular hypertension in FMD patients include ACE inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs).If a second medication is needed, the addition of a thiazide diuretic is an acceptable choice.
