Symptoms
The most common symptom experienced by patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is palpitations. The frequency of occurrence of palpitations depends on the patients.
Other symptoms experienced by these patients include:
- Chest pain or chest tightness
- Dizziness
- Light-headedness
- Fainting
- Shortness of breath
In rare cases, arrhythmias associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome can lead to cardiac arrest and sudden death. The most common arrhythmia associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is called paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia.
