Biopsy can be obtained with guidance from computed tomography. In a series of 750 patients, cancer was diagnosed in 75%.[1] Complications included:
- Pneumothorax 37% (especially if distance from pleura to lesion ≥1.5 cm)
- Requiring a chest tube 7%
