- Coronary dissection
- Aortic dissection and other aortic syndromes
- Pulmonary embolism
- Amniotic fluid embolism
- Tension pneumothorax

- Asthma exacerbation
- Pneumonia
- Pneumothorax
- TB reactivation
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Vasospasm
- Myocarditis
- Pericarditis
- Endocarditis
- Trauma
- Sarcoidosis
- Severe kyphoscoliosis
- Chest expansion (usually physiological change)
